The first efforts for creating an Alumni Association for Kendriya Vidyalaya Pangode started in 2012. In December 2013, the PTA of the school requested the then Principal Shri KBK Unnithan to launch an Alumni Association to support Alumni-School interaction. Based on the proposal, Principal requested Shri Pradeep Nair, an alumnus of batch 1991, to help launch an Alumni Association. The alumni spread all over the globe were contacted in person as well as through social media. As a first step towards formation, a group of about 10 alumni gathered on 11Jan 2014 in the Principal’s chamber and laid the foundation stones for the formation of the association.
The founder members of Kendriya Vidyalaya Pangode Alumni Association were Lt. Col. Satheesh (1984), Shri.Hari Bhaskar (1985-Xth), Shri Gurudev (1991), Shri. Pradeep Nair (1991), Dr. Bhagyalakshmi (1993), Smt. Anjana Premkumar (1993), Shri. Manoj AR (1993), Shri Shyam (1996), Shri Sreenath (2008) and Shri. Aswin Vijayan (2008).
Two more meetings were conducted in which about 20 alumni of the school participated. A resolution was passed in the second meeting held on 08 Feb 2014, to formally register the association and form a by-law. A committee was constituted on 02 Mar 2014 comprising of Shri Pradeep Nair, Dr VL Bhayalakshmi and Smt Anjana Premkumar to prepare a draft bylaw. The same was approved after discussions and our association was registered on 17 Mar 2014 under the Society Registration Act, 1860 and Travancore Cochin Literary Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act, 1955.
The vision of KVPAA is to create a lifelong and worldwide community of alumni and use their collective energy and resources for the benefit of the school, its students, staff and the society.
